Wow that is so cool! thanks for sharing that tip . I already was planning to go to Sally's today. I will pick some up and see if I can get them to work for me. I would love to have the Gator but right now it is way tomuch for me.
Anyone ever plan to get rid of theirs I would be more then happy to buy it or TOTTS maker too.

I use hemostats

I have several on hand... they are also good for pulling the needle through a stacked bow. You can get them on eBay cheep... or at the hospital for cheeper

Yes--it's organza...the only problem that I have with organza is that the 1/4 inch shows when I add the knot for center, and the 1/8 inch breaks when I pull tight! I think I'm going to try the dental floss from the other thread. As far as the crease--you just fold your bow, then wrap the thread around and pull--just like the gator-bite...only about $29 cheaper...so Heather, if you add this to your instruction book--can I get a cut?

It will crease it, too. My daughter and I were having a "Battle of the Bows." I used the gator bite and she used a big clip. We both used the wooden bow maker from TOTTs. Both the gator and the clip worked, although the gator did crease more consistently and uniformly (probably because it has those teeth.) But remember - you are putting something over the center, a knot or flat ribbon or embellishment, so some of the creasing isn't seen anyway!
