So back to the store it goes. I really thought it would work. I am going to try a sizzix and hopefully it will cut the ribbon.

The Cuttlebug has a ‘roller action’ and the Sizzix and Boss Kut have a ‘push down’ action. Pretty much, they do the same function, cuts!. You may need a converter or an adapter (not familiar which CB needs, as I hv the Sizzix) to be able to use Sizzix dies on your CB machine.

I did the same thing as for fabric, put a sheet of card between the perspex to give it a firmer roll through. The ribbon did cut no problems.

if it didn't cut your ribbon, you might just need more 'shims' to make more pressure.

As some others have said~~just put a few pieces of card stock under the plastic piece and it will then cut ribbon!

Great. I'll try that before it goes back to the store.
