Default backgrounds

I'm trying to improve how my pictures look. I've seen some beautiful ones by fellow HG but what is everyone using for their backgrounds. My DH suggested going to Joanns and getting fabric to hang to use as backgrounds but not sure if they will turn out right.

Are you trying to get photos of models or your items? I use a white sheet in natural light to take my product pics, then do a little editing in picasa

It depend what your trying to photograph all my product pictures are taken on white display/poster board. If you wanting backgrounds for modeled pictures you can buy fabric Joann's currently has all of the nice fabric Outdoor and Home Decor for 50% off this is the one on large rolls.

You can also use shower curtains, curtains just about anything.

When I first started snapping pictures of my daughter, I used black fleece (still use it), and other home decor fabrics from JoAnn. Just make sure you don't have wrinkles if you want it to look like wallpaper. I staple my fabric onto a cardboard bolt, put it on my background stand, and clamp it to a baseboard to make it look like a wall.
