You've got great taste in cameras!

Depends on your budget and level of 'expertise' - I highly recommend the Canon rebel series if you're interested in an SLR camera (I have 2 - the XTi and an old 35mm). The Canon Powershot line is also great if you're more of an in-between sort of gal - they give a bit more versitility and several of them have zoom, image stabilization, and video capabilities (my aunt loves hers and has even done various engagement photo sessions with it). I've also had a Kodak Easyshare and loved how easy it was, however it was super restricting when it came to taking the kind of pictures that I like to take.

Just do your research so you find one that suits your needs. Have fun with your new camera!

I always used an easyshare (my last one was a p850) and loved it but when I started getting more advanced and started to get more jobs (I'm going to Ca. in July to shoot a destination wedding!! Super excited ) I upgraded to a Nikon D80 (DSLR)--still not a pro, but a great camera never the less...definatly not cheap...

But I have always liked the kodak system... my son got my old camera and actually takes great pictures with it--and he's 5!
