i usually shoot in manual or i use the one for extremely close up pictures, i have a cannon rebel xsi... and i don't know what my f-stop is, lol i don't really know much about the different parts of a camera... i wouldn't know where to look to figure out the f-stop or how to change it...

your f stop is your apature so higher apature(fstop) more in focus lower apature(fstop) less in focus

so if you are shooting in manual you need to set you fstop and then your shutter speed so you have a good meter read, if you look at your properties on the pic you should see what your Fstop was at if you send me the original i can find it for you [email protected]

which is your dial set at when you shoot? I have a Nikon so its a bit different i have P M A and S i shoot in M which is manual so i have to choose my Fstop and my shutter speed and i just choose the Fstop i want and set the shutter speed for a good meter read if that makes any sense

okay I think on the back of your camera there is a AV +/- button press and hold and turn the wheel on the top that should change the aperture.
