Default Blurry pics

Anyone find when trying to take close up pics they kinda turn out blurry? Am I missing something? I just can't get it right. Please help!

use your macro function on your camera, looks like a flower(usually tulip)

Right, if you're using a point and shoot camera, choose the digital macro setting. On my canon it's a flower with a D inside. You can't use flash with this setting, but it'll help you get nice close detailed images.
