Default My purple always looks blue!

How can I get my purple colors to look purple in my photos? For some reason they always look blue. I take pictures by my front window for natural lighting. Usually most turn out fine, but I just can't the purple to look right. Do I have to use a light box for that??

ps - it is a bit overcast today. But even on sunny days I can't get it right.

Here is an example:

some cameras read colors better than others. Purple is close to the red family and some cameras have a hard time w/ these colors. Can you set your white balance?

You might have to fix it in your photo editing software. Which software do you use?

I am not great with cameras so I don't know how to really change many settings.

I use photoshop elements. I am not that great with that either. Could somebody explain how to fix the color?

Thanks!

The overcast doesn't help, I just took some pictures too right by the window and they didn't turn out as well as my others. I think it looks purple, but maybe thats because I know it is.

It is the dark purple I am having trouble with. The lavendar usually looks okay. I guess the first pictures looks kind of purple, but definitely not the real color.

I have been trying to figure that out too, only with my raspberry and hot pink, they tend to look red.

My camera has a menu button then i go to Quality and then white balance and there are several options that I can just play around with. Play with your cameras see what you have.
