When I did a lot of sewing, I'd always head straight to Ross/Marshall's for their selection of bed sheets, tableclothes, and shower curtains. They're already finished (hemmed) and are extremely inexpensive, especially since the content of the fabric isn't a big issue (poly vs. 100% cotton).

I also like the idea of the roll-out linoleum that looks like stone/hardwood. They have some neat and very realistic looking linoleums now that are much more durable than a prop made to look like the real thing. I've seen ones that look like water, grass, stones, etc. along with your standard wood.

I'm sure a flooring company would be happy to part with remnants for a song and a dance or even free!
