Default It's Purple, not Blue!

Does anyone else have problems getting purples to be purple and not blue! Every item I make in purple looks blue! In fact I made a blue/yellow bow and the same bow in purple/yellow and all the photos came out the same

I take my photos in a "$2 light box" with 3 "daylight" lights from both sides and the top. I've tried different lighting, going outside and nothing.

My camera normally takes pretty good photos (I've actually had people ask what camera I use). It's a kodak easyshare 10 or 12 megapixel something or another so its not the best there is but so far it has worked.

ANYWAYS, sorry to ramble on, can anyone help me? I hate to photoshop the colors because its soo hard to get the right color.

have you got the camera set to the proper white balance? that could make a difference.

Explain...lol. I have my settings on Macro and daylight because I am usually outside when I take my pics. (don't like using my light box) Is there some other type of setting I need to look at?

I have the same problem, I've changed the camera settings tried different light and different backgrounds.
I'll be stalking for the answer too!

By no means do I know a lot about cameras or taking photos, but my sister told me to check the white balance setting on my camera for this problem. To do that go to menu and find white balance. Then you focus on a white sheet of paper or any object that is white. When I looked through my camera at a piece of white paper it had a bluish tint to it, so then I adjusted the balance until the paper was white! I have to adjust my white balance a lot depending on if I'm taking pics outside, inside or under certain lights. I'm not very good at explaining things, so I hope this helps!

to me i say it depends on the light exposure on some like that mine sometimes turn blue and sometimes turn purple im guessing is the light and shadows too..i always try different spots and places and see which one i like best.

That makes sense to me! Lol, a whole lot better than a bunch of photography terms. I will try it asap, thank you!
