Default Need some tips for lighting

I haven't any idea about the lighting until i read the above post on DIY lighting box by the Mod. Now, i wonder if anyone could tell me where to get the lighting with the tent and the leg for cheap. Do they sell in walmart? do you think we can use the normal study/desk light besides the bulb? Can anyone share what type of lighting u're using?

I wish I could help you but I usually just use natural sunlight to take my pics.

Default lighting

So far all my pictures are taken without any equipment. I just put the object on my kitchen table (by window) to use the daylight. I have to edit every images and it's very time consuming. So I purchased a lighting kit off eBay. Haven't got a chance to use it though. I'll post results soon.

About the lamp, the normal table lamp will do. But it'll be better if you purchase the day light bulb (5000k-5600k). Otherwise, you have to use software to adjust the color balance.

You can also make a big light box to be used outdoor. See link below. You need to cut top, side and back of the box to let light through. Use light fabric as background.

I take a majority of my photos outside. In the natural light. I display them hanging or on a bush kat

I just use a blanket and open the windows for the natural light. I haven't tried actually doing it outside. Our bushes are straggley...lmbo!
