Default Help Need a photo program

I'm not sure this is even the right place to post this if not someone please move it....
OK so here's the deal....I have always used Picture It 2002 (It came with Microsoft Works Suite 2002 when I got my old desktop computer) for all of my photo stuff...BUT my desktop DIED and now I am using my laptop for everything. My old computer had windows XP...this computer has Windows 7 and I can't seem to load Pitcture It on it. Soooo now I'm lost...there is no photo program on here (there is Paint...I don't know a thing about it). I need a good, easy to use photo program...preferably free...anyone have any suggestions???? I really need to get my pictures uploaded. I mostly just crop, and adjust sizes...but I would like to be able to watermark, and do a few other things IF it isn't too difficult to learn. I have a VERY old PhotoShop Elements 5.0 (also for XP) that I never did learn how to use, so as you can see I need something EASY. TIA

I use picnik.com You can only upload 5 pics at a time for FREE, but it will do everything you'd need to do.

If you need help lmk!

GIMP is free and it's the best open source image editing software. Basically, it does all things that photoshop does.

Thanks, I downloaded GIMP the other day...I don't understand how to use it. I had PhotoShop years ago...I never understood it either. Remember I'm really computer challenged and I need SIMPLE. That's why I loved Picture It....now if you look up Picture It (it is no more) you get GIMP. I still have my Picture It CD and was told that I could not use it with Windows 7, I tired t load it and it wouldn't work...however a cute young tech guy at Staples yesterday insured me it could be done. So if I can't do it for $30 Staples can. It is worth it to me to pay the $30 because it's a program I know how to use and if I have to buy another photo program it will cost at least that much PLUS I still have to learn it. So I think I'm going that route. Thanks for all the help.

I was in the same boat and here is what I have learned. When you double click your photo to view go to open(top menu bar) and then go to windows live photo gallery then you can click on fix in the menu bar and this will allow you to do basic photo editing. I don't have quite enough money yet for photo shop but I wanted to list a few things in my etsy shop. I think this will work for a while.

Hope this helps
