Default so, I made a lightbox. . . do you think it helped?

I've seen several tuts on homemade light boxes so I decided to give it a try. It was easy I must say - just used a cardboard box and some tissue paper - I used freezer paper as my background - it has a nice sheen and lays nicely. I played around on picnik after I downloaded the pice. Do you think it improved them any? I have an extremely basic Kodak easyshare and I absolutely cannot afford a new camera right now. I only used one light, on top, I may try adding new lights on the side to see what it does, too. The first picture here is an old one of mine just at my kitchen table with a white poster board background, and the next two were taken with my homemade lightbox. Constructive criticism would be awesome - thanks!

i like the first picture because it has a cleaner and brighter background. the tissue paper looks crinkly and not so bright. i loved how you diplayed the second one on the basket. i thought that was really cleaver.
im not a professional at all and havent tried making a light box, yet.
but check out this tutorial. i think maybe changing out the background would be better.

i made a light box with tissue as well and it didnt work for me but i think if you had lights on the sides as well that would help a lot!

I prefer #2 and #3, honestly when I see a website that has pics like #1, I jump right off. I don't like the white limbo look. I know it's been manipulated and think it looks unprofessional.

I like #2 and #3 too. I'm by noooo way a photographer, but they are more appealing to me then the first one.

I think Pic one acheived the look you were going for with the light box. I like Pic 2, but agree that you need something else for the background.... maybe a solid color sheet or something?

I don't like the "shiny" in pic 3...
