Default I don't like the pics from my shoot

I had a ton of stuff and after everything... I probably am going to shoot half the stuff again (in my own lightbox). She took the pics way too far away... you cant see any details and some of them you can't even tell what it is.

I just wanted to vent Now I get to make a bunch of stuff for her, yay....

Um, why can't you tell her that you are unhappy with the photos?

I would tell her that you're not happy with the pics, but do it in a constructive way so that she gets where you're coming from. You're advertising your product, so your product needs to be easily recognisable and stands out in some way. This is your business. If you don't stand up for it, who's going to?

Yes if i dont like the work my photographers do i tell them and ask them to re shoot, something i learned with them they are not use to product shots or try to get a hairbow on a model you need to give them really clear directions or you are likely to be unhappy

I guess I feel like photography is soo much more expensive than the things I make... They come out to my home and set everything up; they were here for 3 hours yesterday.

I also think it has a lot to do w/ my models (who were all family) The kids got bored, wouldnt smile, and my 6 mo old was sooo fussy!

I guess I will have to think about how I would say it

Thanks!

Tell her, and explained what you have in mind. I do photography on the side and I wouldn't want to have anyone dissapointed in my work.

If you are paying for it (even if it's for free product) you need to be happy with the shots.

Just be prepared with solutions, like, a better explanation of how you'd like the shots taken.

I agree-it's sometimes hard to work w/our own kids. They don't always behave, and they are already bored with your work!!

If you don't tell her what is wrong, she will never know! I took pictures of some bows obviously upside down before! I didn't notice because I was worried about getting a beautiful shot, not showcasing the item. I have learned a lot since then! Just let her know that you need some shots to show the detail of your items.
