Default Ongoing Rate For Photo Editing Services?

Hi,

Anyone know what is the ongoing rate for photo editing services? I was quoted $0.60 per picture for a min of 50 images.. This quote comes from a professional photographer who has been in this industry for 3 years..

Is it reasonable?

I'm not sure what the going rate is but any design or photo editing I do at the firm I work for is billed out at $75/hour so to me $30 to edit 50 images (depending on the complexity and the quaility of work) is a deal!

It looks great. Honestly, I would love your hookup. I do photography (semi-pro/ hobby) but I hate the editing part. I think I need to charge more so I can pay an editor. Would you be willing to PM me your source?

Let me know what she will do. I will do it for .65 cents an image, with a minimum of 10 images, but we can work payment out if you want to pay on a monthly basis. This price is depending on what you are trying to do, but if all your wanting is clipping/color adjustments that should be the correct price. What is your main goal of editing the images?

I am a Web Designer and Graphic Designer (For Freelance and a Full time job). I have to deal with cutting out images and making color adjustments on a daily basis.

I've been doing this for a little over 4 years.

I have a website, and you can see some of the websites/business cards/logos that I've done if it will help you make a decision.

My opinion on the images above, I would have cut the entire flowers out, and then added a shadow back on there.

For the quality of the work shown 60 a photo is worth it, at 45 it would be a steal.
I agree with the pp and would have knocked out the entire image - not using the magic wand or magnetic lasso tool - and layered in a soft drop shadow but not for 60 - that seems a little low (sorry! just my opinion!). If you can afford it, good photo editing is totally worth it and really makes a big difference.
Good luck!
