I use Picasa from Google. I take a pic of the bows - some in really crappy light too- and then "fix them". I always take the pics on a white piece of paper. Here are some before and after shots.

I'm no computer wiz. I did this one in the free Irfanview program. Not sure if this is what you are looking for. I've only tried it a few times, definitely takes some practice. But if this is what you are looking to do, I can try to talk you through it if you want to download Irfanview.

Did any of you get a "unable to verify user" warning when trying to download it? Just thought I would ask...

for Irfan or Picasa? I've had both for quite some time now and don't remember anything like that, sorry.

If you don't want to take the time to edit take your pictures using good setup. I use the setup under basic lighting techniques and haven't edited out the background since. All of my recent bow pictures have been taken using this setup with just plain posterboard.

Irfan...My hubby has so many firewall thingy's and computer gadget things attached (he's an IT administrator) to my machine, so it could be one of those...

Have you tried downloading GIMP. I just did a few days ago to do my daughter's invitations and it works good. Just takes a bit to erase the background though. I wonder if there is an easier method.

Does anyone know of a good program that can take out the background in a few clicks?
