I am sorry, I am not going to argue with you, it was just a rude comment. Especially if she wasn't even asking for our opinion on her photo taking skills.

This is why I don't post photos in a public forum, these will be the last time I post any also.

I believe I stated I was a beginner photographer, and the camera I have suits my needs just fine. I just offered my daughter as a model, to people who wanted it. I didn't realize you had to be a professional with a professional camera to do so. I will now go back to lurking...

I understand what you were trying to say, although I don't think they're that bad at all. Maybe the words "terrible/horrible" have a different meaning to you, but if someone said my work (or specifically the lighting in this case) - something that I was proud of - was terrible, I'd be completely crushed.

If you felt the need to comment, it would have been better, more gentler, to say what specifically could be improved (even though she didn't ask). Like...the pictures are a bit dark, try this... or the lighting is a bit off, try this... THAT is constructive and helpful criticism, not just hurtful words.

You DON'T. There are alot of ladies on here who offer modelling photos that are not professional. Please don't let 1 person affect what you do. I think you're doing a great job and I'm excited to send you some stuff for your daughter to model for me!!

Jewelsx,
Please don't take her comments personal. You will see there are alot of people that say things without considering behind these big screens we are human and have feelings. I think you should continue being an active poster and get to know the other ladies on the forum. Not everyone is the same. I've had my run in's too and I just ignored them and kept going.

Unfortunately I will just keep my photos to private emails now, I knew when posting them they were far from perfect or professional...and I know the lighting wasn't the best. I just got the camera for Christmas and its got a billion darn settings, I am still playing around with it (and I think I might have finally got it, now that I read the 200+ page booklet).

But to use the word Terrible, I honestly didn't think they were THAT bad. Almost makes me scared to even attempt to show photos of thing I have made I should have known better when posting in a photography section.

So anyone who is interested...my photos are NOT perfect, but I do try my best I am open to to trying out anything, I have gotten things in the past (from another board) to try, including some adorable little knitted hats (which Hailey's photos are on Etsy) and some dresses and bows. I also go every couple months to my friend who is a professional, and I take some of the cuter items with me for her to use, if I happen to use anything in the professional shoot I will also send you those
