Default background for your bows!

I'm just curious what you ladies use to photograph your bows if you don't have a model. I see a lot of pictures on etsy where people use what looks like a frame of some sort and photograph there bows on there.

What are they using? a frame with scrapbook paper? Please help, thanks.

Yes...pretty much. You can find them cheap at yardsales or thrift stores and spray paint any color you want (preferable something neutral). Also, don't forget to take the glass out. It will cause a glare from your light source....even if you take the pics in natural outdoor light.

I've also seen people with wood backgrounds, how do they do that?

I would think it's just something like barn wood, etc. You can probably find something like it at a salvage store. I'm not a big fan of the look, though. I always think it looks like they took a picture on their back deck.LOL I'd rather see the picture frame myself.

You can buy photography backdrops imitating wood panels. I was thinking about it earlier, but these are not really cheap. Then I thought about using some nice wood panels that remained from the renovation of our house.
But seeing that so many people use it these days I changed my mind, and now I use a simple painter canvas as a background. It's white but the texture gives it an interesting look. I also have a canvas that I painted to a pinkish color (this colour is in my logo, etc. as well), and that is what I use for white items.

I use the photography vinyl backgrounds and a light box. They come in all different size's.

Hobby Lobby has scrapbook paper that looks like wood. That's what I use for most of my pictures. I take them outside because I love the look the natural light gives them.
