Instead of actually laying your product on the wood use a piece of scrapbook paper instead. Hobby Lobby has some cute paper that looks like wood. Customers may be reluctant to buy hair products for their kids that has been laying on the ground.

I agree with using natural light outside. To not have shadows you may have to experiment with different places in your yard and different angles, but it will help your picture. On the headband, I use a vase from The Dollar Tree. Place one side of your headband in it to hold it upright. It makes it easier to photograph.

Pictures are a learning curve and can be very time consuming, but they make a huge difference. Just keep playing with them because it looks like you are on the right track

That's a good idea about using the scrapbook paper outside. I always love seeing the various ways you ladies take pictures.

I take all of my pictures in doors and have three daylamps to help with the light But I also have a high dollar camera and do tweaks once I've uploaded them to my computer

Hey Trixy4444 - if you are interested I may be looking for a new photographer. I've had a wonderful relationship with my current photographer but she is going through a massive amount of health and family issues and hasn't been able to work with me as much. You can check out my shop at:
