You have to switch it to the little tulip, do you have that?

For close-ups, when you turn the camera on, turn to the tulip icon. You can probably print instructions/manual from the Kodak site.

Mine was blurry all the time, even through the view finder when you are looking, not just the finished picture. It was five years old though, so it was basically a piece of crap. I just bought a new Nikon.

I hope to get a new camera in the next year or so. I would like to be able to take semi professional pictures...

I have the kodak easyshare dx6340 and it is a piece of crap. I use the little man for all of my pictures...because the camera is a piece of crap, lol. You are suppose to use the tulip for close up pictures but I find that the little running man works the best for me and then I can use Corel Paint Shop Pro to edit. The easyshare is my back up. I too own a Nikon but he is in the shop. I'm really tempted to buy another until mine comes back from the shop, pleed insanity to my hubby, and cry......until I get my way.

I have a Kodak Easy Share and I didn't like the picture quality either. The close up setting(tulip) has a little square on the screen that turns either red or blue when you press the shutter halfway to focus. When it turns red, the picture is focused. Press the shutter button the rest of the way to take the picture. If it's blue, the picture is blurry. Release the button and try again. At least that was my experience. And you have to hold the camera very still, or it will be blurry. My main problem was dark pictures, even with the flash on, and camera delay. Camera delay doesn't go well with kids.

So I got myself a new Canon Digital Rebel XTi and I love, love, love it. I did still keep the Easy Share just for video clips.
