I always wonder how people do it when they actually get a sale. Like she took a photo of one of my hawaiian print fabric headbands. I highly doubt the fabric is available in Michigan...and getting the print placement exact is hard. I was going to have a friend email and ask her how much and how long it would take to see her response but FB deleted my photos before she did it. I have a feeling these are her bows and they look nothing like the nice stacked twisted bows she stole from the Etsy shop above.... http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...7187154&type=3

I'm going to play the devil's advocate here ladies, so don't hate me please.
Just something to think about.

I understand how frustrating it is to have someone steal and use something of yours, especially for profit on something that they did not create, it has happened to me. It hurts and it makes you angry. Above all, it is wrong!
I have read many posts here about how someone has stolen pictures or a tutorial from someone else, and read the outraged replies from the forum.

Again, I am not saying that it is right to steal photos.
AND remember....Devil's advocate here. No ANGER please.

Does it ever occur to anyone that when you make and sell an Item (and I am excluding licensed pre-printed items AND I am not saying I haven't done it either) that has anything to do with Disney that you are doing the very same thing? Or Dora? Or Marvel?

Because they are big companies that make millions of dollars does not make it right to participate in Copyright infringement, and then be outraged when it happens to a small crafter. It is equally wrong to steal from big companies as it is to steal from a small crafter.

Just a thought to chew on

I don't get people who would post pics that was not their work! Why? Don't they know that people are going to notice when they get their item that it wasnt like the picture? Maybe she does shoddy work so she doesn't want the customer to see what they are actually getting. Kinda makes me weary of buying off line sometimes. Thank goodness I have faith in humainty.

I know.... but when people like us "steal" from large companies, the majority doesn't know that it's wrong. but that women obviously knows it's wrong to steal from other crafters, having gotten many complaints, and still keeps doing it! These are two different matters entirely.

No, they really aren't, but it isn't worth arguing about.

Stealing is stealing, and everyone knows when you use another crafter's or company's design, logo, etc. that it is wrong.

Also, now that everyone who read this thread "Knows" that it is illegal to copy BIG companies (because I'm sure no one knows)...does this mean they will never make another Disney themed item? or Dora? Or Marvel...hmmm or Sports team???
