Confused...

I've noticed some discrepencies in my color chart and decided to update it.

RABOM matches the Schiff site as far as colors go, but while trying to find a current Offray list, I've found 3 different lists.

Does anyone know where a true current list is? I've looked at ribbonqueen, ribbonplace, and JKM - they all three have differences from one another. Now I'm sporting a rather painful headache from trying to figure it out and getting more confused by the minute. It would be much easier if I had started doing made to match bows earlier on and could remember this sort of thing offhand, but until not too long ago I just found what I could in local stores.

I also haven't figured out if there's a certain time of year those two main companies introduce their new colors for the year. Some of you have been around the ribbon business much longer than I have - have you ever noticed any trends in regards to this?

this is brought up on a search of offray color cart. I think it JKM, so I don't think it's helpful, but ... thought I'd take a shot.

Hey Tonya,

All three of those carry different colors from offray. The latest offray color chart I purchased from Leslie's bowtique. I also have one from JKM. I haven't been able to get every color that is carried by all three on one card. I just offer the majority of the colors to my customers and buy the off the wall ones for my self. Like mineral ice or watermelon haven't been on my color cards but I know they are available but only from a select few.

Thanks! I was starting to think that and then started over with my color organization to fit the site I usually buy from, but that's when the confusion started. I got to thinking, well if I was selling ribbon, I wouldn't carry this color .... *ding* the lightbulb went off and I realized that maybe that was the case everywhere.

I'll just fix it to match where I buy from since that'll be easiest in the long run.

But I had asked for a grosgrain color chart on Friday - they are sending on Monday so I can take a picture and send it or compare if that helps.

Hey Lorraine,

I would be instrested in seeing what is on it. I have 3 charts. One from JKM and the other two I had made by different people. They all have different color options.

I will be sure to post a picture of the color chart when I get it - I would imagine Tuesday. Hope it helps! They have not had Offray color charts for the longest time - I have a catalogue if you ever need me to look something up for you.

I would LOVE to see pics of your chart! That would be awesome. When going through all their colors, I can't help but wonder about all the in-between colors we never see.
