matching to outfits

this may sound totally ignorant but i'm just getting into the big stacked bows with multiple colors. when you are matching to an outfit that has say 5 different colors do you use all 5 of those in the same bow or do you just pick like 3 or 4? i dont want my bows to look too crazy. doest that make any sense? TIA

I don't always use all the colors. I try to use the main 3-4 colors.
