Body of Tractor
1.5” emerald green ribbon cut 1 ¾” long. Using either a wood burning tool or scissors, cut a small square out of this piece. ¾” down and ¾” in. The square needs to be at the top and to one side of you ribbon. Or, make a template out of the cardstock and trace this onto the ribbon, using the wood burning tool to make the cuts. (I find this easiest, since I make several at a time). Be sure to seal all edges.

Exhaust
1” piece of black grosgrain. Cut off one edge, just at the seam. Using the pliers to hold the ribbon, heat seal ends and side, be sure to hold the lighter a bit longer towards the top to make the exhaust curve slightly.

Front Wheel
Cut2 ¼ ”, 2”, 1 ½” pieces of the black 3/8” grosgrain, sealed
Cut 1 ½”, 1 ¼” pieces of the yellow 3/8 grosgrain, sealed
Start with the smallest yellow ribbon and make it into a circle, overlapping the ends slightly use a SMALL dot of hot glue. (about ¼” over lap on all pieces). Glue the second yellow piece at the seam and wrap it around the first circle, over lapping slightly. If you need to, use an unlined alligator clip to hold the 2 smallest circles. Then glue the 1 ½” black ribbon onto the yellow circles, proceed as you did with the others. Going from smallest piece to the largest piece.
Back Wheel
Cut 3", 2 ½”, 2 ¼” pieces of the black grosgrain, seal
Cut 2”, 1 ¾” pieces of the yellow grosgrain, seal.
Follow the same steps to making the front wheels. Starting with the smallest piece of ribbon and ending with the largest piece. Be sure to use the least amount of hot glue you can to keep glue from showing.

Assembly
First glue the Yellow 5/8” ribbon onto the body of the tractor centered at the fatter part of the tractor body. Then, slightly below the window, using a small amount of hot glue, place the back wheel onto the body of the tractor. Next glue the front wheels onto the tractor,
making sure the bottom of the tires are even. Flip over the tractor, place a dab of hot glue onto the exhaust, I glue it about half way down with the curve facing towards the front wheel. (I do this after wheel placement so that it can be as centered as possible). Lastly, place hot glue onto the yellow lined alligator clip with the FRONT END of tractor facing the curve of the clippie, this is to make it look like the grill of the John Deere Tractor.
*This can be done in Dark and Light pinks to make a “girl” tractor, or even Red, Black and White for Case or International tractors. All are cute!*
