Hello again! Here are the instructions for my teddy bear:
First, gather supplies: (all ribbon used is 3/8" grosgrain)
For bear's body:
3 1/2 inches brown
3 inches pink
2 1/2 inches pink
2 inches pink
For bear's arms:
2 inches brown
2 inches brown
For bear's Head:
3 inches brown
2 inches brown
For bear's ears:
1 inch brown
1 inch brown
For bear's bow;
1 inch pink (or patterned, any color)
1 inch white 1/8'' ribbon
Sissors
Glue, glue gun
Fray check or heat seal
Optional for bow: elastic cord or needle and thread
Please excuse my picture...problems with my card reader again:
First, seal all edges.
Next, let's put the body together by making circles out of the brown and pink strips, see below:
Now we can glue the circles inside each other, starting with the smallest. Now we have a bear body.
Next, using the brown strips for arms and legs, glue the ends together (with a twist in them). This is hard to explain, but it's the same as you would do with butterfly wings, but harder to see because the strip is so short. Do both arms and legs.
Now we can glue the arms and legs to the bear body. These should be glued on the sides as shown.
Now we'll work on the bear's head. Make circles like you did for the body with the strips for the bear's head. You should have 2 brown circles. Glue the smaller one inside the large one. Next, make circles out of the 2 ear pieces and glue them to the side of the head.
Almost done! Now glue the head to the body:
And let's make the bow. Using your 1 inch piece for the bow, glue one side over onto itself:
Now glue the other side:
Pinch in the middle and either sew through or wrap with elastic cord.
Glue a small piece of ribbon around it to finish it off, and glue to bear's head, just below her ear.
You're done! You may attach to a lined clip, etc. Let me know if you all have any questions
