Buying my sewing machine

Ok ladies,

I'm buying a sewing machine this coming weekend.

Can someone tell me everything I'll need to make a few burp cloths and bibs.

What kind of burp cloths do you want to make? There are many different ways to make them believe it or not. You could put ribbon trim at the bottom, you could put fabric on the middle portion of the diaper, or you could trim it with fabric. I use gerber cloth diapers that I get at Babies R Us. I trim it with flannel. I also embroider on the diaper.

I also make bibs. I use cotton fabric and back with chenille. I also put a layer of cotton batting on the inside.

I think I'm going to try the diaper with the fabric down the center first. The center stuff is called batting?

for the bib? Yes it is called batting. I use warm and natural that I get at joanns. It is in a huge roll.

Oh and on the diaper make sure you get prefold ones NOT flat fold.

I just convert my Singer Future CE-150 from Embroidery to sewing.

I LOVE making burp cloths - onesies are a pain but turn out totally cute!!
