[Two Little Monkeys]

I did a thread months ago wanting to learn how to sew - well, I am proud to say I am on my way....
My mom is so gracious - she is giving me her older sewing machine. And she is going to teach me to sew (at least the basics). I can't wait!!!!

any tips for REAL beginners? I have a 4 1/2 year old girl and a 4 month old baby girl. The boy is too cool for anything his mom can make him!!!

Honestly, for me, I am a visual learner.
So, I took a quick beginner class at joann's when I first started and it really helped. A lot of times, if you buy your machine at Joann, they offer a free class with it that you can retake as much as you like for 1 year. Other than that, they usually offer beginner class for about $60
Otherwise, I look online for tutorials on different techniques and practice,practice..

I found the Sewing for dummies book was a great resource too

Thats great! I've sewn a few things but I would really love to make outfits I have 3 girls =)
