Question sewing machine help needed

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site. Semi-new to sewing and I am trying to make dd a pillowcase dress but having an issue and thought maybe someone might know the answer. I have a Bernina 82e sewing machine and when I was sewing last night it jammed up on me. I had to remove the plate and remove the jam. I put the bobbin back in and tried to rethread it only now my machine won't thread the bobbin. I called the bernina dealer and they want to charge me $60 to dianose the problem. I am hoping there is a way to correct this w/o spend the money. I have also rethreaded the machine as well with no luck =(

Any advice would be appreciated and I look forward to visiting this forum often.

I would check yahoo groups for a bernina group. I am sure a lot of ladies with the same machine will have an idea for you.

Mysunshine, I hope you are able to get help without paying the $60. I can remember my mother getting so frustrated when her machine would jam. She always had to get all the little pieces of thread out of the area that jammed and then work and work to get it to thread and run again.

Dreamspun, that is a great idea. I don't know that I would have thought of that. But hopefully, I will in the future.

Thanks ladies for the replys! I had someone tell me to completely rethread the machine and it worked like a charm! I just have to hem the bottom and add my applique!!
