Which kind? I've seen at least 3 different sorts of pants called 'gaucho.'

Yep, they're all basically wide-legged capris. The main differences are in the type of material used to make them and how the top is put together.

I have several knit pairs with a yoke on top, but I wouldn't suggest making them unless you're a fairly experienced seamstress - knits, especially thinner ones that most gauchos are made from, can cause quite the headache when you're trying to get the seams to look right. Personally, it was more worth my time to go buy those type than make them. I've made them before out of plain 'ol cotton blends in a kids size by taking a normal capri length pattern and making the side seams have a bit of an a-line shape.

Can you find a link or picture of what you want?

I could trace the pattern and send it to you with some basic instructions if you would like. They really are easy! If you like the bandana print it only takes 2 bandanas--makes a cheap outfit!
