Default Ruffler foot or attachment?

I have a Brother LX 3125 and have googled until I can google no more.

Can I use just the foot or do I need the attachment?

Thanks!

You're wanting to make ruffles? I believe you have to buy a brand specific ruffler foot attachment for the Brothers.

I have a generic ruffle attachment for my Brother machine. Works fine but I don't use it anymore since I learned how to ruffle with my serger.

Can you tell me if the generic works with any Brother or just specific machines? I really, really want to make ruffles.

There was a thread about a week or so ago about ruffler attachments. It had some links to a couple of different ones that people had ordered. Let me see if I can find the thread.

Here was the thread if you didn't see it:

There are links to a couple of generic ruffler foots, not sure if these will work on your machine. But, it might give you a little more info. I want one too, but haven't ordered one yet.

Be sure you ask about it fitting your machine. I was always told that Brothers had to use a specific brand.

Singer and Kenmore use generic.

That isn't always the case tho. I have two Brother machines and a generic ruffle attachment. Both machines work perfectly with the ruffle attachment. I have never had any problems with them working.
