? about TUTU dresses

Oh yeah when my daughter takes a nap I will ork on teh heaband atleast..I have a pretty good idea on it...

tulle was on sale a few weeks ago so it may be a month or so.

still, cheaper than walmart.

do the overhand knot on the top piece of elastic and tie a square knot on the bottom piece of elastic.

i have only done 2 but they are really cute.

i also add shoulder straps on everything.
strapless isn't a good look with all the pedos out there...

i can do html, run a website, sew, paint, cook and even dance but i cannot figure out a digital camera to save my life!

when you make a basic tutu you have one ring of elastic.

for an empire waist tutu dress you have 2 rings of elastic.

one goes over the breast and one under the breast.

the top ring gets its tulle attached by an overhand slip through knot.
the second band gets this same piece of tulle attached by a square or regular knot.

then keep doing this until the desired fullness is reached.

that is how to make an empire waist tutu dress.

if i could do pics i would post a tutorial.

Ok, I'm usually a visual person, but I can see how to do this. I know how to do the basic no-sew tutu, so all you have to do is add the extra band for the top. I don't think I have enough tulle though

That is very cute. I made a few play tutu's for my girls but thats about it.
I'd have to chase my 6 year old to make her wear something like that....she is such a tomboy lol.

I am not understanding how the two band attach.
If you made it--could you take pictures cause I am a very visual person.
These are so adorable and I would love to attempt making one.

Oh..I got tulle and walmart and hobby lobby and they seem to bunch/crunch (wrinkle) and doesn't look so nice after awhile, what am I doing wrong?
