I posted this in another thread but I thought I would post it here too.

I saw these really cute jean skirts and pants with ribbon trims on them at this site:

I would love to make the ribbon jeans as seen in m2mg girl detective..however it is not coming up for me Just my luck .. Do the instructions show how to make them this way;with the top ribbon,over the cuff? thanks!

I think you would do the same as the instructions in the last link she posted (which are excellent by the way!), and then instead of making a decorative stitch, sew on the ribbon you like above the hem. (I think hers is a solid with ric rac on top).

Okay..this makes sense ,I am such a visual person;and not to mention I have never sewn in my life..trying not to buy the instructions! I just bought a pair of cute little jeans at target (a whole 1.97! on clearance) to practice on ..I can cut a precision bob haircut ,,so I can sew a straight line right?? hmmm at least this is what I am hoping for! Unless the archaic machine stitches my hand to the table ..by the way has anyone seen a machine with the foot pedal attached under the table ,to use with your knee..so odd ..anyways !

I love this. It is toooo cute for my girls. Of course I saved it & I put it on my to do list (when I get some free time ).

Btw, the second link has an extra http:// in it, that's why it's not working. I just took it all off and started at the www. and the link will come up. But the last link has the best, detailed directions anyway.
