I'm feeling ambitious tonight and I wanna attempt to make a long sleeved peasant style tunic dress for my toddler. She needs a winter wardrobe and I just don't have the money to go out a buy a ton of stuff. I'd rather try making a few simple dresses. I've been scouring the web and this forum for an hour and I cannot find a tutorial to save my life. Does anyone have any decent instructions? Here is an example of what I wanna do:

Even though the tutorial says "blouse" it is very versatile. You can make it a dress, long-sleeve etc.

I have used this tutorial as the base for two different dresses. It is very simple to put together. If you have questions, just holler (better to email me than PM).

I've been so busy I forgot to post an update to this. I did make a dress the other night...I kind of made my own pattern based on a dress she already had, and I did long sleeves but not the elastic long sleeves. It turned out cute...needs to be taken in a little bit and my seams aren't finished but it's gonna be a good little play dress for Eliza.

I will post pics! I have to go get a new memory card sometime today after DD wakes up from her beauty sleep. My other one is MIA. I can't stand not being able to take pics!

UGH I forgot....but I promise I will take some tomorrow or if DD wakes up later tonight I'll grab it out of her closet. She probably will cuz she's teething

I still wanna redo it, I'm just not happy with the way it fits her.
