Has anyone made any? And how hard is it?? I'm due in July and wanted to try and make a set...the only thing that I'm nervous and worried about is the bumper :P

I made my crib bedding. It was super simple. I had a pattern though.

I made my son's crib blanket and bumper, well it started as a bumper and after I washed it, it ended up as a dust ruffle...LOL I didn't use a pattern and didn't sew it to hold the batting and when I washed it the batting bunched up and I could fix it, so I ripped it open took out the batting and used it for a ruffle and bought the bumper. I could probably do it now though, learned from my mistake...LOL

You can find tons of free sewing pattern on the web, including crib sheets, hooded towels and other items.

For my second son I wanted to use my antique iron cradle where I was born so there was nothing that would fit in the market. By that time I didn`t have any experience sewing (not that I have much now either) LOL and my mother sew a set but it was sooooo girly I couldn`t use it. So I tried by myself ...after much thought I did it...no one could believe it it came out beautiful.....although the guy who worked for me at that time was freacking out when he had to turn the bumper inside out full of pins LOL I can remember his face...and I just said.. come onnn is for the baby.
I will look for a picture to post tomorrow..to tired at this time.
So go on! I am sure when you have the fabric and the crib in front you will be able to do it.......and then you will feel that ....I did it myself!! proud sensation.
PD: But remeber kelliescreations comment you have to sew across the bumper at different sections so the batting will hold it`s place when washed...examine one at a store and you will notice what we mean.

Thanks for all of the advice! I have the bumper still from my 1st daughters set (shes only 2) so its still kinda new, I think Ill try to recover! Then make the rest of the stuff myself!!! I also found the perfect material that I want to use...since I've been having a pretty hard time picking just one "set" out, so that def. got me more motivated! Thanks!!!
