Default Does anyone know how to make...

(I am going to try and explain this the best I can) a backpack where the handles are made with nylon rope. I have no idea what you call these bags but you see a lot of cheerleaders carrying their stuff in them or gymnasts. I will try and find a picture too! Thanks!

I have made them for my sons day care and i took and sewed two pieces of 8 x 10 fabric togetheron three sides and then hemmed the top left openings on the ends after stringing the rope through (mind you your going to need alot) knot one side and make sure its laced into the pag it looks better if you do. and tack one side of the loop to the bottom corner and repeat on the other side. i know this is confusing as all get out but if i can help you any let me know

Thank you both so much! I know my husband has some nylon rope somewhere - now I am off to find it.

That is exactly what I had in mind! You guys are geniuses!!!
