Alphabet punches that can go through ribbon

Hello everyone....I was at a local boutique and saw a cute idea for ribbon head bands. The alphabet letters were cut out on the ribbon with one of the schools name. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought the individual alphabet bunches but the grosgrain ribbon was too thick. Has anyone tried this before? Thanks....

Iknow somw ladies bought the cuttlebug machine..in the scrapbook section...not sure if it would cut ribbon, but I am almost positive it cuts fabric, so..... HTH.

I just bought a Cuttlebug do cut flowers out of felt with - I tried fabric and it didn't work.....so I'm not sure about ribbon. I can try tonight when I get home and post my results Maybe satins or something thin? That does sound like a cute idea!

I know that cuttlebug and big kick don't cut ribbin. I tried both tonight..

I don't have a problem cutting ribbon with the cuttlebug!
I use it for felt and fabric also. I have cut hundreds of flowers out of felt.
All I do is lay a piece of cardstock paper under the plastic piece. It makes it a little 'tighter' going through the roller and cuts just fine with a smooth edge.
