Alphabet punches that can go through ribbon

Instead of using the plastic stencils and the woodburner, can you use the brass letter stencils? I've seen little brass stencils used for embossing.

Look at this:

It is letter tips for the woodburner. I wonder if it would work on the ribbon or if it would look too messy.

Edit: after thinking about this for a little while, I realized that this wouldn't be a very time efficient way to cut the letters. You would have to wait until the each tip cools down before you change it. It would take way too long.

Ok, I stencil the letter onto the ribbon, I used a pen and used the wood burner to cut the letters out. The only problem is that wood burner is hot and burns very fast, you have to laid you ribbon onto a hard surface. I used the 7/8 inch letters with 7/8 ribbon.

I saw these today at Michaels and bought it using my 50% off coupon, it was 29.99 without the coupon, so it was 15.00 with the coupon. I haven't tried it yet, I had a question about the headband was the black ribbon on the bottom just wrapped around the headband??? thanks

I probably have no clue what im talking about but here is my take on it. They wrapped the headband in the solid black. Then took a smaller size ribbon and cut the letters out of it in one long piece then glued it on, not each individual letter. If you look real close you can see the seam of the black on the letter. If i am totally wrong dont hollar... remember i am old. hahahahahahahaha

Yes.....mims2627 is right.... That is exactly how the head band is made...I left the ribbon at home again. Sorry...my daughter was playing with it and I put it somewhere and totally forgot it...With my son's birthday being rained out and my daughter having the stomach virus it was a crazy weekend...
