serger/ overcasting
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A post yesterday got we wondering.....what's the difference between using a serger on the edges of your fabric and the overcasting stitch? The oc stitch looks exactly the same to me. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I'm thrilled with the look and durability I get with the overcasting stitch. I'm teaching my neighbor how to sew, and she doesn't have that option on her machine. I had quickly forgotten what it was like to not have that option. I'm totally spoiled now!
