target sale: Singer machine
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Target has a Singer 10 stitch pattern on sale for $69. I don't know if that is a good price because I am not familiar with it.
I've been thinking of learning to sew and was wondering if this might be a good machine to start with?

that's the one I got. It came from Target. It has been a good little machine.
I just wanted something to learn on, and it has done everything from outfits to sewing ribbon on webbing for key fobs.

For a beginner, I would say yes. Don't attempt anything too thick (think multiple layers of denim, upholestry, interfacing, etc). Applique work might also be rough on this machine.
