~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was woundering if any one know how to make your own appliques out of fabric? I want to take a design and cut it out of a print and sew it on to my bas and baby carriers, but I don't have a embroidery machine. I want the thick looking one now a zig zag stitch? Any Ideas?
Thanks! |
Just be careful when you buy the Heat N Bond, they have two different types, one that is meant to be permanent, and one too hold things in place while your sewing. The Permanent one can gunk up your needle. If your using this one a light material, you might want to also consider a stabilizer.
I just cut what i want out of my fabric and use fusible webbing or sometimes even interfacing (med. Weight)
Iron this onto your applique and then pin the applique to where I want it and then do a zig zag stitch on the No/ 1 width setting. |
