~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I really want to make my twin daughters some capris using some cutesy fabric I have. UGH! But I have stated before I can't use patterns (I have not figured them out yet). I found a tutorial but maybe it is me - but I can not figure it out. Can anyone help me? Has anyone seen a great tutorial? Much Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The easiest pant pattern is the easy fit pants e-book and you can purchase it at Sewing and applique patterns, ebooks, instructions and much more! | YouCanMakeThis.com They are well worth it and has many sizes. TRUST me, I sew and this is far easy than anything i've seen.
You will print out the top portion of the pants and then you just measure the length of your child. You can make pants, capri's or shorts from this pattern. Goodluck
I third that! I cannot follow a traditional pattern to save my life, but the patterns on You Can Make This are awesome. I always joke that I must be the worst seamstress alive, but I love to sew. I have made 5 or 6 outfits from several patterns on that site and they are all GREAT! TRUST ME, if I can do it you can do it. These are the patterns I have used for the ruffle capris and ruffled halter top. I will take a picture of my daughter in her outfit when I have time, but trust me the patterns are worth the $15.
Bundle Pack: Boutique Dress Top and Bottoms | Featured Products | YouCanMakeThis.com I have almost all of this persons patterns and every one of them are super easy and use almost the same techniques. Once you do one, the other are pretty easy. I just purchased the twirl skort and bubble top patterns....I can't wait to give them a try. Good luck! Last edited by jmb002 : 07-28-2008 at 03:54. |
Right now - Joann's has the Butterwik patterns for 99c - go get one of thos and make the appropriate changes.
I picked up a sew easy pattern and just used the dimensions and created my own pattern. Typically I use felt once I have a good design. HTH! Amanda |
