~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wanted to recycle a HUGE maternity skirt of mine (remember I was pregnant with twins) into 2 tops & a pair of DH's khaki's into khaki capris to match the top. Well, now my daughters refuse to try the top on & I finally talked one of them into to trying on 1 of the tops & it is WAY too tight!!!
And the pants look like crap!!!! UGH!!!
And forget it - no pics of the hideous outfit.
I have had many of the days! Then I don't sew for a few days because I'm afraid that I'm have another bad day! Usually these days follow sleepless nights and I should know better then to try, but I do anyway.
Sorry your project didn't work out. Maybe you can recycle them some other way.
Thanks - glad it is just not ME! I am now trying to figure out how to salvage the top. I really love the fabric on the top. We'll see! Thanks for letting me vent! DH could have cared less!
I've had days where I break needles like crazy, break thread, run out of thread, burn myself with the iron, etc., etc. Just try again later. LOL. Maybe use the fabric for a tote or a headband (or both!) - something fun for you. Don't let the girls have all the good prints!
I have those kinda days pretty often. I have four children always wanting to help me or for me to help them with something. I love to sew, but the only time I really have is a night when they are in bed. But then I can't try things on my daughter ( who is very odd sized) and then I end up with them either too big or too small. Well, good luck with your sewing, just gotta keep at it and it will come easier.
