Default Hairbow Parties???

Has anyone does this? If so, how did it go and what do you do?

Also, has anyone tried selling at a flea market? We have one here that has a section just for handmade items like monogrammed items, purses, clothes, and such. I was wondering if it was worth the booth rental. Someone suggested that I do it and keep going like twice a month to get some business going. What do you think??

Thanks.

I hosted my 1st home party 2 weeks ago & was disappointed at first. Only 3 people showed up but I still made $75 in about 1 1/2 hours. I guess I can't complain. I also have a home party this weekend in the town I grew up in. I have lots of friends there so I hope I do well. I'm expecting around 50 people.

How did you do it? Did you just make up a bunch of bows and take them with you or did you take some supplies and make some there? I am all new to this and was wondering how to do this. I read that having a hairbow party can go either way. Just wondering. Thanks.

Getting ready to set up a Twitter page hoping that will bring in some customers as well. Thanks again.

I have a hot pink bucket that I put wrapped clippies as favors. After everyone shopped we ate cookies, snacks & drinks. I did set up 2 displays for everyone to get an idea of what I carry and then I also got some custom orders. HTH

I love Bow Parties!! There is potential to make Alot of money in a very short period of time...... I just set it up (usually in the living room) and let people shop.. no games, i just introduce myself and let them know that my bows are sold at local boutiques and then they just start shopping!Just my opnion but i dont think games and stuff would sit well with sales... these ladies that come to the parties ARE READY TO SHOP and most the time they cant wait for me to bequiet so they can start shopping its just like a craft show they impulse buy and its kind of like a race (get the good ones FIRST) ANYWAYS......Usual the host has food and snacks... I also take alot of custom orders (make sure they prepay or get some kind of deposit). I actual give the host 10-20% of the total amount sold worth in free bows... the ladies at the party see that. and then they want to know how to host one also! So get numbers so you can book more bow parties!

I just started doing the bow parties this fall and they have been a hit!!
I take about 30 or so bows all different styles and have them displayed on one of those thick poster type boards. I also bring my bins of ribbon for them to look through which everyone seems to love. I put on the invitations to bring outfits to match. They are ready to shop once they arrive. I get lots of custom orders and they pay before they leave. After I finish with all the bow orders I deliver them to the host who then gets them to her guest.
The parties have been a Blast and everyone really seems to have a great time!! Hope that helps!!
