Default pic included - Finally Figured out how to make this flower! So easy!

I've been wanting to learn how to make this particular style of satin poppy for ages... just been making the regular circle satin poppy.
Well i discovered this morning how to make the edges look soo much pretter, like real petals!
Just cut half inch slits in the satin around the edges, and then burn the edges as usual!

Group 2 or 3 together for a real gorgeous statement headband!
So excited to get some professional pics of these to post in my etsy shop!! and SELL!!

Or you can cut the fabric in flower shapes instead of circles..

Beautiful! And the slits sound so much easier than cutting out flower shapes--at least for someone like me, who is a bit, er, challenged with scissors!

So beautiful, very retro-vintage which my older daughters love.
