I used to make these when I was 10. Gave one to each of my Grandparents and friends for Christmas that year. You can get real creative with them. I made candy trees and all sorts of different kinds http://www.mindspring.com/~putertek/coat_hanger_christmas_trees.htm

I used to take all the old, broken crayons and melt them by color (all reds, all greens, etc--some "new" colors here! LOL) and then pour the wax in small candy molds of teddy bears, hearts, etc. Then I packaged them on a piece of white cardboard and wrapped them in plastic wrap. These made cute gifts, with a pad of paper or a coloring book, for my kid's friends.
