Amanda so you cut with the wood burner free hand. do your edges come out straight??

Yea they come out just fine. The burner I got came with a bunch of different tips so I tired each one until I found the one that worked the best. There is one tip that is flat, and that works pretty could to just put the whole edge of the ribbon on and seal it.

OK, I tried to cut the ribbon with the wood burner and it did not work. Am i doing something wrong? Do you have to cut slow? Would love some tips on using the wood burner. thanks

I use the scissors first to cut it and then the woodburner to seal it. I don't usually just cut with the burner it gets to "melty".

That is what I ended up doing! The woodburner came with these sharp cutting knives, so i thought you were using that to cut and seal all at once. It did not work! Thanks for helping!

I'm glad you worked it out! I think it would work to use the burner to cut it if you used a metal ruler to hold it against.
