Yes, they are everywhere, so why post my pictures from my store instead of finding a blog with a tutorial?

It does matter what she uses to make them when she has a store that is stating that she is selling wool felt flower headbands and here she is making bulk purchases of acrylic felt.

Lying about the products you use to create something damages the reputations of those who are actually using the real deal and not the cheap products.

It's one thing to try and learn how to make something, but another to use someones retail pictures to learn how to replicate it.

Attitude? You better believe I have an attitude.

It does when you are stating that your item is created using wool felt. Way to damage the reputations of us actually making flowers from wool.

You can't assume that she lying about her listing, she may be using wool felt right now in her items listed. She hasn't even received the acrylic felt that she ordered. I am sure once she gets it in she will list her items accordingly.

It's not uncommon for any of us (yourself included I'm sure) to be shopping and be inspired by a product...whether shopping online or in a store. People on this (and other) boards link pictures all the time to ask for tips from others for how to make something. I'm sure if you browse the board, you'll find multiple other threads in this section with photos to retail pictures with similar questions. And how is asking for tips on here any different than googling for a tutorial?

If you found it offensive or inappropriate, you could have PM'd her instead of doing what appears to be simply creating an account to cause drama.

All I wanted to know was what the die was. I am not trying to copy anyone, I just like the shape of the flower cut. Besides there are a million of these headbands on etsy, yours just happened to be the first example of what I was looking for.

And not that it is any of your business at ALL but yes I do plan to use the felt I bought on headbands. The ones in my shop are 100% wool right now that I purchased from another source so please don't assume things unless you know the details.

It is to bad you cannot be a helpful contributor, being so snarky does nothing for your business or how people view you as a person.

Last I check she linked to your public photo. Never did she save it and upload it.

Who cares really, you really need to step back and think about your almighty attitude. Do you own the copyright to that style? Nope, because you can't.

I don't need a tutorial on how to make it, I know how.

And really, do you think you created that die? Do you own it? No..pretty sure you got the idea from someone else. Were you the first ever to make it? Did you get it copyrighted??? Doubtful.....

This one has a hole in the middle of each flower, I think that would be hard to cover up. I am guessing the punch would be a better way to go. Does anyone know if they are sold in stores? And if it will cut felt? I have only used my sizzix so far never a punch

I don't think it is a punch as they don't cut felt.

I rarely share but someone that comes in with a bad attitude, heck, I could care less in this situation.

Pixie, I need to finish an order. Later today, I'll help you. I make the same kind of flower, 2nd link, (yes, I know exactly what the die is) and for the 4 petals die, I know a better die (and no, it's no secret: one just have to know it). PM me your email addy as it's easier to attach pictures.
