Default Marabou

I have seen it online, and thought about ordering some and kinda see if I like working with it.
What do I need to know about it? Is it easy to work with? Does anyone have a project idea, tutorial(for purchase), etc. Guess I need a little direction here

Usually it's used as an accent/background on girlier bows, such as over the top bows.

I would suggest going to the "How to Make" forum and search "marabou" for ideas on how to use it.

it is a mess to cut! premade puffs are easy to work with, hot glue them wherever you want them to go and you have instant accenting

I have noticed on of the sites I buy from sells them in loose single feathers or in a boa. Maybe I'll just order some and play around with it. It does look like it would get messy cutting.

It can be messy to cut. If you get the whole boa, take some scotch tape, and wrap it around where you want to cut, cut in the middle of the tape and you won't have nearly as many loose "feathers" floating around. I would also suggest that if possible you cut it outside (no clean up that way) My girls love just some plain marabou puffs on clippies. Just circle the marabou or figure 8 the marabou and glue the ends together, attach to clip and you have hair pretty.

I use marabou a lot. Almost all the bows on my Etsy site have marabou in them. I would recommend getting some at Hobby Lobby to start. I bought a mini vaccuum at a garage sale and I cut my marabou by the vaccuum and vaccuum it up immediately. I buy mine at dreamangels.net. They have good quality and good prices (I use size 15 in my bows).
