Default Struggling with Spikes... Please help!

Ok.. I have a couple of questions about how to make spikes for bows... I know that you arrange them on a needle how you want them and sew through, but what do you do after that? Don't you have to make a crease? How do you do that? I saw a tutorial a couple of months ago, but it just really confused me more.. Any advice would be helpful! Thanks so much!

I don't sew mine. I place them on the table how I want them. Then put a dab of glue on each. Then I stack my bows and glue (a boutique on top of spikes and one on the bottom). Then I wrap the center ribbon around and glue. Then you just pull you spike to fluff them towards the top. HTH this is the easiest and best way for me to do spikes. Here is a pic.

I sew mine. I lay them out like I like them and then just sew through them like I would a bow.

Wowzers. That bow really pops.

I don't think I've ever seen that much visual impact without multiple bows making up a stacked bow.

That bow is so pretty!
And if mine aren't too thick then I crease them but if they aren't then I use glue. Ive found when I crease them and they are thick they end up making the bow too thick.
