Default What to put on paper so it will not bend

I am going to make my own bridal bouquet out of origami flowers. I ordered a sample flower on Etsy, and the paper was hard. It bent just a little, but overall it just felt thick to the touch.

This paper seemed to be regular scrapbook paper. Is there something I can put on my flowers after I fold and put them together? Starch.. etc.

It didn't seem to have a smell.

I love origami bouquets!! I would guess that you could create the flowers and then spray them with a clear coat to offer some stability. You will want to test a few, though. I've been loving this frosted glass coating that Rustoleum makes. Also, Mod Podge now has a spray that should do the same thing. May you have much joy and happiness in your upcoming marriage!!

Thanks! I totally forgot that Mod Podge had a spray now.

I'll have to try those and post up the results. I'm just so scared that I'll try something and it'll look good..and then on the wedding day, the paper will turn yellow LOL

Only My Luck that would happen.

Oh, I hope that doesn't happen!! I have no idea what the sprays will do over time. I think mod podge is pretty safe that way, though.... at least I hope! No nightmares; this is going to be a gorgeous wedding!!
