Default neat idea

Thought this was a really neat idea to use ties. Anyone have any idea what they are using for the stiffener. I actually would like to try that but as a pony tail cuff.

that is really very, very cute! i dont know if it's $40 cute, but it's a great idea. i would love to see pics of yours if/when you decide to make them. and maybe i'm wrong. maybe they are crazy time-consuming and are worth the moola.

I dont think shes using a stiffener.
I think the stiffness might just be from the aluminum.

Seems a waste to use aluminum and then cover it up? Just my opinion!
Must be something cheaper.....

really, you think she is just putting this over a regular bracelet. I remember years and years ago I used to buy ponytail cuffs that were like really stiff fabric that would curl around the ponytail. I loved them. My hair is always up so it would be nice to make it fancy

No not a regullar bracelet, but aluminum that she cuts into that shape.
It says in her description that she uses 1100 aluminum...
maybe its the kind you buy in the hardware store by sheets, and she just cuts it down to size.
